need some clarification

ive did some searching and i cant find a solid answer

what i need to know is

is the VX timing belt and the water pump
the same as the d15b vtec, or would i use the z6??

all the post i found on google its a bunch of bashing haters arguing with each other

i know one of my friends had the dealer order one from japan.. other than that i have no clue if any the others work for it..

When you do Mini-me's with a d15b7 bottom end a d16z6 head you want to use a d16z6 timing belt.

ok so a all d15b vtec, id would need the vx timing belt and the vx water pump?

D16z6 and D15z1 water pumps ARE the same :thumb:

Not sure if the JDM D15B is the same as those, but I would lean toward yes.

THe D16z6 and D15z1 timing belts have different part #'s from Honda.

You want to use the water pump for the block you are using. :thumb:

I made the mistake of using the z6 timing belt and now my engine squeals each time I start it. So the z6 belt does work but its really annoying @ start up. I later found out that the vx belt was the one I should have purchased instead :wink:

Timing belts dont squeal!!! it's ur alternator belt. =]
