D15b7 VC seal leak #2 cylinder

Does anyone that still run the b7 have issues with the spark plug seals going bad and oil seeping into the the cylinder?

When I bought the car it had bad MPG performance, so I gave it a full tune, wire, etc.; I saw that the #2 cylinder had oil so I got a valve cover seal kit to fix the problem. After everything my MPG and performance went up, a few months later (next oil change) I checked my plugs to see how they are and got oil in the #3 cylinder so I replaced the VC seals and added some HondaBond to help the sealing, problem fixed. Here we are again, next oil change and same problem on the #2 cylinder. Anyone have a better fix short of getting a different head? I am tempted of getting a z6 but I don't want to risk the 250K b7 bottom end.

It ain't too big of a deal to me too, but it hurts the MPG's. from what I saw, its a flaw in the design. comparing it to a y8 head, which had a actual tube and the seal that wrapped around it vs. the b7 and the flat on the head, if you don't have a tight fit and with rubber, the rubber deteriorates over time.

I just wish some aftermarket offered a Viton option.

if you have tightened the bolts to spec and still get leaks, you may try replacing the rubber grommets on the valve cover bolts. after a while they get squished down and don't press down as much on the valve cover.
