Hey what's up guys I picked up a z6 head intake manifold and throttle body at the junkyard and am planning on doing a mini me swap for my d15b7 however I'm also planning on doing the auto to manual conversion
.I don't plan on boosting going to stay n/a
so my question is what should I do with the z6 head until I pick up the rest of the things for mini me swap?
should I get it resurfaced? Leave as is? Throw in different cam?
I'm not in a big rush to get this done advice is appreciated :thumb:
PS I'm going to paint the valve cover for sure :D

Pnp
bisimoto lvl 1 cam
bisimoto cam gear
edlebrock performer x intake manifold
greddy or edlebrock header

I would leave it as is.
Honda has spent a lot of research time on the best cam, intake and throttle body for that head to get the best combination of economy and performance. That is why we like Honda, great motors right out of the factory.
Plus you can not beat the price of "as is".

Hmm port and polish sounds good know any spots for cheap?
Oh yeah I should have mentioned I'm on a budget  but once taxes come might change up :thumb:
definitely will be getting a Carb legal header :D
leaving as is sounds good too because I'm already goin to spend $$ on the mini me

Depends on your goal for the motor. You want as much as hp as possible out it while you stay n/a? I just had a mini in my hatch and finally threw a rod and just ended up buying a whole z6 and building it. Mini me really isn't worth it unless your going from a whole b7 to a vtec motor, which in your case I'm guessing that's what's happening. First thing your gonna need is an adjustable cam gear for the mini me. I would get new valves and valve guides. Do you want the head stock or semi built? Or do you want bottom end built? Either way you should build or semi build either the head or block even if it's built with new oem parts. Also how long do you want this motor to last?

I was thinking just the head ...and I want it to last long it's my daily can't really risk blowing a motor on the freeway

resurface the head have it shaved .010
then get an adjustable cam gear and mess around with tming and find out what u like best
dont bother with a p and p they dont help unless you are over like 200+ horse power
