i know there is a big debate on how worth it is to change heads rather than keep the one i have but its all i got and i need the car running asap
i have the head gasket kit and the head bolts and was thinking about taking pictures of the process it has a blown head gasket
so my questions are
1. can i put a b7 head on with that head gasket or is it different
2. would anyone like to see a rebuild log for it

lol i figured... yeah if i can get one for cheap i have to get the b8 head milled and thats like 80 bucks and 160 if it needs a valve job
or i can get a b7 head pay the same ammount and get that little bit more power sad thing is i have a b7 head but there is a chuk that broke where the dizzy goes in and i dont know if it's still good
oh and more questions would i need a new dizzy
or cpu?

i believe the b8 dizzy doesnt have a tach output so u would need the b7 or get the dizzy harness for the b7 and hook up the b7 harness in the b8 dizzy, but it bolts to the head the same
and as for the ecu, i think u would need the b7 iono if the b8 and b7 differ

i have a tach in the dash that worked just fine with the b8 head so i would say it's fine...
but i def have to look into the ecu
