Will my D15 transmission be ok on D16 vtec

Whats up guys, i need to know if there is a problem with running my d16 vtec engine i got of a delsol with a transmission from a non vtec d15b8 i have running in my hatch now? what are the pros and cons? thanks

d15b8 is the 8 valve cx motor. those engines come with trannys that have really long gear ratios.
cons: slowest acceleration of the manual trannys. Si/Ex is best. Then Dx/Lx, then Cx. (not sure where the vx measures up)

so if i ever plan on boostin the vtec then this will work to my advantage correct

the z6 tranny is already long enough

hell at least il be doin better than the 70Hp piece of crap i got under my hood, i dont get passed 20 mph on first and i can only rev up to 2k

sell the tranny for whatever u can get and just save up and buy a si/ex tranny

I just called this guy he has an si tranny with 10k on it he's askin for 100 bucks, im gonna pick it up tomorrow , is there something else i should look for to verify it is a si tranny other than the stamp p20 b0000
