my car started making a ticking sound the other day. its a mini me swap, d15b7 block with a d16z6 head. sounds like a valve tick so i did a valve adjust on it and it didn't make a difference. one of my boys said i may have a worn cam or cam journal. i am goin to check that in the am but just wanted to get input from people to see if anyone has had the same problem.

a worm cam journal or cam is kinda unlikley and it would get progresively worse
what shape was the head in when u put it on could be a bent valve
also re torque / check the torque on the lost motion assembly in the head
also what u can do to help idetify the noise is take the valve cover off and start and run the motor with the cover off just make sure to cover your engine bay with rags or towels so oil doesnt go everywhere oil will fly but just try to keep things covered

first check your oil level, they get noisy when the oil gets low.
