z6 w/ y8 head

so my friend is giving me his y8 head w/ manifold and harness... and i was wondering if its worth it to do a y8 swap or keep my set up the way it is
either way im getting the head for free...

Keep your z6 head. Any performance gain wont be worth the effort to swap heads.
You can use the y8 intake manifold on your z6 head. thats worth the time to swap it out. Once done sell the y8 head and your z6 intake manifold.

yeah sounds good, cuz i was lookin around and it seems like it cost more money to swap heads... but how much of a difference does it make to swap out the manifold?

Y8 manifolds have significantly better air flow.
That Y8 head is worth $100 and as previously said, sell it.
