im on my second d16z6 engine and have noticed that the intake is quite noisy, it makes a sort of hissing noise kinda like a dumpvalve but its constant and gets louder when you open the throttle body. its been the same on both z6's an i was just wondering if this is normal or weather summits wrong? any ideas?

does it have a cold air, also you might want to make sure your pcv valve hoses are connected all the way...

i think that hissing noise is normal when you apply an aftermarket air filter instead of stock intake filter. i have fujita 3,5" on a big whale intake and the hissing noise is loud and cool. you have nothing to worry about imho.

ah yeah i figured it was probably normal and ure right it dus sound quite cool. i got a cold air feed into aem filter and ali pipe so it kinda echos abit lol cheers for the advice :thumb:

yea it's normal.. mines does his. and it sorta has a little whistle to at part throttle while driving. that whistle happened after i installed the skunk2 manifold. :thumb:

I have that whistle with the Skunk 2 intake and short ram too. I kinda like it
