#237166 D16z6 are not usually bored more than .020 (75.5mm) because they don't have as much material to remove as a B series.

To get to 1.7 L, you would need to increase the stroke.

#237229 Im not trying to sound rude either.

You cant overbore a D series from 1.6L to 1.7L. You need to change the stroke. The cylinder walls literally aren't thick enough to support it.

#237264 thanks thats all i wanted... you can bore darton sleeves out to 78mm max so .040 over should be safe and with the 1.7 crank and that bore i would be running a 1.8 sohc
