To get to 1.7 L, you would need to increase the stroke.

You cant overbore a D series from 1.6L to 1.7L. You need to change the stroke. The cylinder walls literally aren't thick enough to support it.

- Sun Feb 06, 2011 3:40 am #237264 thanks thats all i wanted... you can bore darton sleeves out to 78mm max so .040 over should be safe and with the 1.7 crank and that bore i would be running a 1.8 sohc
