how much overbore? z6

i was wondering how much of a bore it would take to get a 1.7 from a d16z6 is 76mm enough? thanks

D16z6 are not usually bored more than .020 (75.5mm) because they don't have as much material to remove as a B series.

To get to 1.7 L, you would need to increase the stroke.

say i sleeved it how much would i need to bore to make it a 1.7

Im not trying to sound rude either.

You cant overbore a D series from 1.6L to 1.7L. You need to change the stroke. The cylinder walls literally aren't thick enough to support it.

it wont work as stated above
but you would have to bore it out .040 inches
again it wont work but thats how much it would take if it was possible

thanks thats all i wanted... you can bore darton sleeves out to 78mm max so .040 over should be safe and with the 1.7 crank and that bore i would be running a 1.8 sohc
