#238380 As the title says. Has anyone done a mini me on a D13? What ecu would you use to run it, seeing that D13 is originally a carby engine

#238537 I believe it's been done. I don't remember where I saw it but I'm pretty sure I did. And from what I remember it was a pretty significant boost in power.

#238700 why dont you just get a d16z6 probly be cheaper, less head ache and still make more power and torque at the end of the day... thats just my 2 cents

Depending on the person's location this may not be an option. Cost, finding the parts, legality ... all these are different for different places.

Sourcing a D16 may not be as easy for everyone.

There are plenty of D16's here, but then doing that swap it involves engineering certificate, blue slip, plus change details with RTA (a lot involved and takes time) most swaps don't even pass. Where as if I buy a civic with a D13, I just change the head with efi set up, cops couldn't tell the difference

I'm just really curious if it's been done. It's just a concept idea I've had for a while, like i'll use it as an every day car while my B16 is for fun

#238856 If it's a daily why not consider using the d15z1 head. That would get INSANE gas mileage ... or kilometerage (?) depending on where you live.

really i had no idea it was like that there. i forget that this forum isnt just local and its all over the world. around here u can put what ever motor in your car that you want no emissions test or anything just go lol and ya i agree if sourcing a motor is not an issue than i would slap a d15z1 head on it and go for some crazy milage

I am 96.35% certain I have seen a D13 w/z6 head. I just haven't been able to fine the build. I'll keep looking and if I find it I'll get some links up.
