#240106 To start with, my car broke down on the Hwy... I noticed it smoking from the top of the timing belt cover and some of the plastic of the top timing chain melted.. I may have been low on oil. Resulted that there was no compression in all cylinders. I took the cylinder head apart , shaved the head, replaced the timing belt, head gasket, waterpump and put it all back together again but to my dismay nothing improved. I still have '0' compression in cylinders 1.2 & 4... with about 30 psi in cylinder 3..
I do not know if I may have a problem with the valves, pistons, rings...etc. Where should I go from here ???

#240119 its not washed down on its cylinders is it. Put some oil down in all 4 cylinders through the spark plug holes.Wind it over with all 4 plugs out and let the oil set in.Then reinstall 3 plug and check compression and work your wway through all 4 cylinders and check the compression from there. It does happen but with cause of course

#240127 motor sounds boned, as in needs new rings, but the easyest thing to do is go to wrecker or a pick and pull and grab a new motor and run that instead best of luck

Thanks... I did what you said... still nothing compression is 0-0-30-0 from cylinders 1 thru 4.
I am starting to suspect the valves on the head or the pistons/rings could have gone.. and I figure there must be something common to all cylinders that must have gone bad.... what's next ???? should I take the head for a valve check ? or have the engine block replaced ?
