Low idle

Ok so my rebuilt d16z6 is having low idle problems and I just replaced the tps with a new one, replaced the idle air control valve with another one, and I also checked my cel codes because before all this I was throwing cel codes for the iacv and the tps so I replaced them both and now I hve no more cel codes. So anyway my car is idling extremely low to the point where it's stuttering and sounds almost like it wants to die. The only thing I can think of is a vacuum leak somewhere , but I don't know where to look if there is a vacuum leak. Also I'm wondering about the two hoses that are connected to the iacv does it matter where they plug into the iacv or can you plug them into either holes of the iacv? I think I could've possibly mixed them up with eachother. Please help cuz this problem is really annoying me[/list]

a vacuum leak would cause a much higher and/or fluctuating idle, so I don't think that's the case. Try switching the coolant lines in the IACV and see what happens

I'm not sure if that can cause a low idle but let's find out.

Ok yeah I'll try that out teal. Seems like when it's hot or cold the idle the idle stays really low. Maybe also possible timing off? I just rebuilt this motor too and I'm past the 1500 miles mark. Also I have an adjustable cam gear so I think maybe the timing can be off.

timing off would affect performance... but if you never checked it with a timing gun then do that asap

Yea so I tried switching the hoses around and it started smoking so I switched them back and it stopped smoking. Seems like the change in the weather effects it , but my temp gauge stays the same
