- Thu Mar 17, 2011 5:28 pm #244492 D15B cylinder head.... How do I remove the Cam GEAR from the cam shaft. The bolt is out... I tried pulling it out but it is stuck in really hard. Does it normally come out easily ???

Try tapping it from evry corner with a mallet

Whatever I did the gear would not come off... I used a pulley removal took and it started distorting the gear itself . I finally banged in the gear towards the inside of the camshaft... of course now I have a distorted gear that hangs around the top of the camshaft but I still do not know how to get it out.... it just WON'T come out ! If you'd like to see it , I'd post a picture this weekend.
