Okay so i decided to make a new thread on here as not many of you USA, South American or Canadian guys may not know about these variations of the Civic engine but my EG3 Hatch has a D14a1 Motor and a friiend of mine decided to sell me his D14a4 tonight for well our equivalent of $50 including belts, dizzy, alternator and both mani's..

My A1 is a dual carb setup. this is a direct link to an engine with the same setup. sorry i dont know how to link the photo direct to this page :(

The new A4 is fuel Injected

Any help as to what i can do between these two engines or possible swaps would be well appreciated. thank you. :) :thumb:

That first pic does not look like a carburated motor, they both look fuel injected to me. the second pic looks like our D16y7 with the lower vertical throttle body setup.

I've never worked on a carb'd civic but I've messed with a carb'd 4 cyl toyota and converting it to fuel injection meant all of the intake manifold, fuel rail, injectors, wiring, etc (all of the obvious engine parts) ecu, harness, fuel pump, fuel line (injected is higher pressure) and even fuel tank. I'm not sure what the parts list for a civic would be though...

Yeah ... I see fuel rails on both of them. Hmmm. Well if you are in fact switching from carb to FI ... have fun. Yay for wiring projects ... you sir are a braver man than I.
