#249299 My map sensor is currently not connected to my ecu. The z6 is in a car that originally had a firewall mounted map. Neither the map nor the wires are still present.

I was hoping the someone could check out their ecu plugs and tell me which pins the three map sensor wires need to be ran to.

Its really appreciated very much. Im tired of my car idling at 1200 rpm and no vtec. Not to mention the mpg loss im sure i am encountering.

#249316 Thanks for the info.

assuming ground1 (d21) is also for the map sensor then i had it right.

#249350 well the wires on my map sensor dont match the chasis harness. In fact i cannot find any info anywhere that tells me which wire corresponds to which chasis wire/plug.

I feel like ive tried every possible combo and my map cel still wont go away. Maybe i am not giving the ecu enough time to reset when i pull the battery cable...I just give it about 10 seconds and pop it back on, is this incorrect?

I have in (right/left) order if your facing the open end of the tb white, green/white, yellow/orange.

#249403 Whether it's a firewall MAP or a throttle body MAP, the wiring is present and it's the same. You can simply take the plug and put it on the throttle body MAP. A lot of times these get smashed on the containers as they're coming over, so you can swap your original engine's throttle body (it's the same size unless it's CX or VX) and hook up your firewall MAP. In your case, you could bounce down to the junkyard and get another firewall MAP on any early EG nonVTEC.

#249408 The wiring is not there. The harness has been hacked into a few times. The Guy who I got the car from couldn't even get his z6 to run in it. Mine runs fine with the exception of the map because I was able to make the wiring harness work. Ill get it worked out. My newer z6 just doesn't match.
