I've been cleaning my block and I've also been cleaning up the surface of pistons 1 and 4. I've since noticed that on threads where people clean their block (ready for new head gasket or something) they leave the pistons untouched?

Am I doing the right thing by also cleaning the piston surfaces?

dosen't matter, the carbon will be back soon.

i always do just make sure you dont put any big scratches or ding em up
