i have a d16z6 i bought off my buddy, it has power, a decent amount i know, i have never been used to hondas so im not used to going high in rpms. my buddy tells me i gotta push the car up in speed and to highhh rpms to have it kick in...

i was also told by someone else i have to get up to 4800 rpms...

Kicks in at 4800 rpm
Cant really tell when vtec kicks in on a D series
With an intake you can kinda hear it

I spliced my vtec wire in so its a bit janky
It might fall off sometimes or my spedo stops working
So I kinda notice because it turns off

vtec kicks in at 4800 all the way to 7000 ish on the Z6, but as other people have already mentioned, u could barely hear it since its a D series. but it would be very obvious on a B series.
