what trim level is your hatch? you'll need p28 ecu (to match your trans type) and some wiring, depending on which model you have.

well for sure you will have to run vtec wires but thats all i know of for wiring you will have to have the z6 ecu p28 or else it wont run right and vtec wont work.

92 dx's come prewired for vtec
from the ecu to the passenger shock tower
You only need to splice the wires up to that

Yeah you could do that.
you could chip the p06 but when you can buy a virgin P28 for 100 and sell the P06 for ~$50, I wouldn't bother.

Since my car is still auto I just got an auto p28 off ebay for $100
Check ebay out, its still an ecu
Buying ecu's from random people can be unreliable
I actually have a question of my own that might help someone
I have a D15B with a stock P28
Will a non chipped P28 damage my motor in any way?
Or is it bad for my motor?

or just re-use your dx engine harness and buy 8 to 10 ft of 14 ga wire. you only need to run 2 wires from the passenger shock tower to the sensors on the head, and then one ground wire. OBD1 ecu's don't use a knock sensor, so no need to. The d16z6 doesn't have one.
