#254006 i knew you guys here can help so i come to you..
i have a 93 coupe ex and it doesnt want to turn on. i bought it off this guy for $500 and when i got it it didnt want to turn on so i thought it was a good deal but now its been three weeks and we still couldnt turn it on.

my dad thought it was the timing so we got a new belt and tensioner put it on and still nothing, gas is reaching the fuel rail and the spark plugs have spark. gonna get a compresion tester this week to check the compresion :(

#254043 Are you 100% that the firing order is correct on the dist cap? And the timing marks on the head & crank shaft are both at TDC?

Can you tell if there is compression if you turn the crank by hand with a ratchet?

How's the cap & rotor look?
Did you replace the plugs/wires?

If so, I'd say to crank it for longer than a few seconds. I had a civic sit for a month or 2 one time and it just wouldn't start. I checked everything and there was no reason that it shouldn't start. It wanted to start, would sputter a little but never got running.
So I kept the key turned and cranked it for about 30-45 sec and the sputters got stronger and it finally fired up. I've seen this happen on other cars too.

#254139 im going to check the dizzy as soon as i can and im 100 percent that both are at the tdc mark.

yes when turning it with a ratchet you can tell theres compresion. i didnt check the firing order and i havent changed that stuff but i didnt change the coil. the plugs are new though.
