Whats up guys. I got a 92 hatchy vx and i just bought and swapped a d16z6 in. I still got the vx harness and vx oxygen sensor in but i'm runnin the p28 ecu. But now i got problems the idle is hunting form 1400 to 1800 tried to adjust it (the right way with the iacv unplugged) it didnt help. It's throwing codes 3 (map sensor) 7 (TPS) 14 (iacv) 41 (oxygen sensor heater). As for the map sensor the z6 dont have one on the throttle body so i just dont have the plug hooked up. I took the iacv off and cleaned it and checked it when it is plugged up and it seemes to work fine. I think for the oxygen sensor i'm going to put the z6 sensor in and rewire it to the vx harness. The tps i dont know what to do for it besides adjust and check or replace. :? Any help would be great

It doesn't have a map sensor are you sure because I had a z6 and pretty sure it had one. I had to sell that car I could never get everything in good running order with that engine.

You have two very obvious problems... the MAP sensor and O2 sensor. Why are you messing around with the IACV etc? The answer is right in front of you. The car simply can't run without the MAP sensor hooked up correctly. I wouldn't trust any other codes because shit rolls downhill, so to speak.

Depending on the year, the D series engines have either a throttle body mounted MAP sensor or a firewall mounted MAP sensor. The throttle body version is the cleanest and simplest so you can swap the throttle body or if you want to save money, you can go to the junkyard and get the firewall setup.

It's common for people to mix up the TPS and MAP sensor plugs. Check the wire colors against the repair manual.

Next, wire up the proper O2 sensor, reset the ECU, and go from there.

Yeah i got into the TPS and MAP sensor plugs before when i swapped from the factory d15z1 to JDM d15. I checked today and the guy before me swapped the throttle body, so i put my JDM throttle body on plugged the MAP sensor up, still doing the same thing. So i'm swapping the o2 sensor tomorrow and going from there.

Alright guys i got thhe throttle body lined out. I got the map sensor and tps cel fixed but it's still throwing cel's for iacv and o2 sensors. If i plug up the hole for the iacv and turn down the idle screw it seems to idle fine. But i'm wanting someone else's opinion will it hurt anything if i plug that hole off for good. I still havent got the o2 sensor wired up not really sure how to convert the 4 wire 02 for the d16 to the 5 wire plug in. This is the last things i gotta do before i get my hatchy going again. :woot:
