#257474 i parked at my gas station today to get some gas. after goin in to pay i realized there was some type of fluid leaking from MY car. Keep in mind its a 4door eg, not a coupe.

I looked for the leak, the leak is located on the front passenger side close to the right wheel

its dripping out of where what looks like where a hose should be connected.....

i checked to see if it was oil (obviously not) . would this leak be from my radiator by any chance? i dont know what it would be im slowly learning, can someone help me????

#257502 I bet it is coolant dripping from your overflow tank.
When the engine is COLD, check your coolant level by removing the radiator cap and also look in the plastic overflow tank to see how full it is.

#257699 well would that be something bad? or is it alright to drip from the overflow tank?? i thought it was a problem because time to time my car will be hotter than normal but since its not a 24/7 leak i guess its nothing

#257717 it could be a sign of a problem if your overflow tank is boiling over, spilling on the ground. This could be from air leaking from the cylinder, past the head gasket, into the coolant passages then forcing coolant out of the system into the overflow tank, eventually filling the tank and spilling out on the ground.

Or it could have been too full in the first place and everything is fine. Keep an eye on it and let us know what you see :thumb:

#257734 if you can somehow take a picture of exactly how you see it that would be great!!!

Might be your radiator getting old of the lower hose is old and cracked and starting to leak a little bit . it will only get worse from there..

#257739 there is a drain for the radiator. it looks like something a hose might connect to... it has a flynut lookin plastic valve located closer to the radiator is this whats leaking? if so perhaps try tightening the plastic flynut
