I ask because I find a whole lot of different opinions. Like Mini me head swap from a D16Z6 head on a D15B8 block with A6 pistons will give me higher compression.... Then I hear a stock D16Z6 is not much different than a Mini me swap.....

If u could get hold of a engine crane. I'd say full swap would be much easier.
Even tho it only took me one day to remove n install new head. I believe its less hassle to do full swap.

Full d16z6 for sure. You'll have a stronger bottom end and compression ratio will be the factory 9.5:1 which is more boost friendly if you decide to go that route.


Also, it's just as easy IMO to drop the motor through the bottom than to pull it out through the top, if you don't have a hoist. THere's a DIY on how do drop it, check the DIY list.
