I recently figured out my piston rings are bad and am going to change them myself. My question is which ones am I supposed to get (for a D15b)? Do any of the D-Series motors share the same piston ring specs? Thanks in advance.

I'm thinking there all a 76mm bore..... I'd say the d15b7 rings should be what you would need

75 mm bore, if you're bored .020 then you're at 75.5mm

Got it, thanks. I ordered some NPR rings that were listed for a D15b, but the top ring is too thick and doesn't fit into the groove at all :?. Going to have to send them back.

WOW..Did some extensive research, turns out the top ring grooves on ALL D15b (P08) pistons are smaller and unique to the JDM D15b engine only! But luckily, the piston rings from the 96-00 civics are a perfect match (part number 13011-P07-004). Hope this helps someone out in the future. Thanks again everybody! :thumb:

they are 1mm instead of 1.2mm like the earlier d-series.
there's a d15b thread on here that mentions that.
