Okay so I just replaced my valve-cover gasket because i was leaking oil pretty bad. I went to wash my engine off afterwards so I can see where else i might be leaking oil from. After washing it thoroughly, i drive home. When I left the car wash, my engine was ticking, and sounded much like a go-kart. I'm not sure if I may have gotten water in my engine.. or what? Any advice or ideas? Anything helps.

So it turns out the issue was that i was missing a gasket for my spark plugs, and oil was leaking into the holes where my spark plugs sit. I fixed it by using compressed air, blowing it out, and cleaning it out well. I replaced the gasket and now my car runs like new! :D
