distributor questions

- Sun Jul 03, 2011 6:58 pm #262113 i have no spark so when i took apart the distributor and checked the prongs of the ICM they failed..... i have a jdm d15b and was wonderin should i just get a whole d16z6 distributor or can i part out a cheaper one for the icm. im sure it has to be a vtec distributor for a d series. is there any thing else i should know??? thnx in advance

the whole vtec vs non vtec is the casing, the internals are the same
bewteen them, so if u can find a cheap d15b7 dizzy you can use the icm

correct and, obd1 jdm vtec d15b uses the same distributor as d16z6 and d15z1.
so you could use the d15b vtec distributor, or swap the module
