jdm engine question

I want to buy a new engine for my eg. I have a d15b7. i was wondering wat jdm engine can i use with my factory ecu and wiring harness.

and non vtec d15 will work the sohc zc non vtec is a d15 really are limited there......

with just your wiring harness you could use and d series i would believe tho i think you would need to modify a little for the dohc zc but anyhow ecu wise you would be holding yourself back alot if you where to get a p28 then you would be able to run practically any d series minus the dohc zc

wat did the p28 come stock in? i know it might be a stupid question.

The P28 came in any D16z6, D16y1, or D16z9. Essentially, the EX/Si trim.
But if you are trying to swap a non-VTEC you won't need it.

so i can swap a jdm non vtec d15 with no wiring harness and ecu problems.

this man is correct


but if u bought a p28 and a p06(iirc)
you can run obd1 vtec motors... d16z6, d15b vtecs

your non vtec harness will work.. just gotta run some wires for the vtec

oh and i think u can do b18b/a swaps with ur stock ecu.. and i kno for a fact the harness will work on the b18s
