I would ditch the manual vtec switch and run a P28 ecu. What ecu are you running now?
I would use the OBD1 wiring harness that you have in your car now. What trim level is your civic?

Its a cx but I had a b series in it. I'm running a p28 with s200. And my v tec is just wired right to the ecu plugs on the harness it just doesn't run to the shock tower

I'd run those wires... the ecu will always know the best times to actuate vtec. Not to mention sending the appropriate amount of fuel at the exact instant that vtec kicks in. Your cam will be lifting higher in vtec= more air = needs more fuel.

They are ran to the ecu. What wiring harness can I use for this motor? The map sensor is on the the throttle body. Also what about setting timing?

I'm not sure on timing, if it will be off a 1/2 tooth or not. You could play it safe and get an adjustable timing gear just in case.
For the harness, just use a stock engine harness from a D16z6, yours will have all of the same sensors I think.
Then the distributor plug on the D16z6 harness will also plug into a D15b7 dizzy, which will bolt to your y8 head. (z6 dizzy won't bolt to y8 head)
Stay away from the 1992 engine harnesses. I believe these cars had the MAP sensor on the firewall instead of the throttle body, therefore not having that sensor on the engine harness. (someone correct me if I'm wrong here)
I know mine is a 92 and used to have the MAP on the wall.

I'd double check that the firing order is correct.

well i did a compression test and two three and four had 220 and cylinder one had 180 so my guess was a bent valve or something so i pulled the head and im going to be replacing the head with a z6 head. what headgasket do i need to use. its a zc block with a z6 head

You would use the Z6 headgasket.

Okay so I know that the zc block is pretty much the same as a a6 so if I run a jdm d15b cam what timing belt do I gotta run?
