Ok, I don't normally mess with many sohc's. A friend of mine wants to buy my y8 head and use on his z6 block, I know this set up has been done a lot, as far as the head bolts is my only question. He needs to use the z6 bolts other that the 2 ones in the back corner right ? They should be the y8 ones witch I have?


Just looking for clarification

on the z6 block, the head bolt by the vtec solenoid is not as deep as the other 9.
z6 head bolts/studs are all the same length, so that one sticks up higher.

i think the y7/y8 sets have 1 short bolt.

So I use the one y8 bolt by the vtec solenoid ? Right

if its shorter than the others, yes.
