Ok im running a d15b7 motor as most of u know, i just picked up a complete d16y7 head off craigslist. So ive looked over some forums and honda tech has some info on this but not too much. Also the same guy has a d16y8 intake manifold for cheap.

What do u guys think y7 head with y8 manifold on a b7 block.. worth it or not? suggestions?? comments?? experience?? help a bro out

it will give ur the CR of a mini me minus the vtek

yes, it is worth it as stated above. It basically is a mini-me without the vtec. Higher CR and better valvetrain that will rev higher. :thumb:

I would have shopped around for a y8 head. If you're doing the labor, you might as well use a vtec head for an extra 30 HP. You'll feel a little more power from the higher CR as mentioned, but vtec is fun :woot:
