Bad dizzy?

- Sun Oct 09, 2011 9:27 pm #276935 I was messing around with my d15b7 the other day and I accidentally popped a spark plug wire out of the dizzy while it was running. The engine killed but when I put the plug back in the car WILL NOT START. anyone know what this could mean?

I have an extra d16y8 dizzy lying around so I bolted that one up and it took a while but it started. I just couldn't adjust the firing to make it right again. And that extra dizzy is crap has no seal so leaks oil out the head. WTF do I do now

No blown fuses and I know the plug sequence so its not that.

- Mon Oct 10, 2011 4:02 pm #277058 Your Coil or ICM is done.. The Dizzy's are known to do this. Happened to me too and I had to narrow things donwn till I got to the Iginition. Had fuel turning over but no spark.

I am pretty sure you can you the Coil and ICM from the Y8 and swap them over to your D15 Dizzy.

This DYI should help you out. Hope that you get it running. :thumb:
