hi guys rite was talking to a guy on another forum and he told me that the the 1.5 non vtec out of a lsi civic has a short strok to it also the crank in the d16z6 is technicly forged there for i was thinking would the d16z6 crank fit in a 1.5 block with the 1.5 pistons gaining me lower compretion for running boost ? it was just an idea befoer i rip my 1.5 apart as well as the d16 or should i jsut carry on building that up :woot:

well i also talked to my friend awhile about 5 years back as he was the honda guy at the time not me which i am today damn it lol but yea you could technically do the 1.5l with 1.6 internals however theres alot of machineing and youd be better off just doing up a z6 or other 1.6l engine....

The 1.6 uses larger main bearings than the non vtec 1.5, so you can't use the 1.6 crank in the non vtec 1.5 block.
