i just picked up some headers from my friend, but they are the stock headers from a d-series ek. Will those fit my d16z6 and bolt up without any problems? Also does our stock headers require a gasket? Also are ek headers better then our stock eg headers?

then yes, they will bolt right up.
use a d-series exhaust gasket and donut.
now you know where DC headers got their design (and why they are CARB legal)

just put a bolt or old broken o2 sensor in the secondary o2 sensor bung.

Well I just realized the headers I got are the y7 stock headers which are uglier then he'll since they have the built in cat. I only really need the top piece. I don't need the down pipe. So my next 2 questions are will they work with my d16z6 since they are y7 headers? Also can I just take the top part off of the y7 headers and mate it to the down pipe of my d16z6 header instead because i really dont want the ugly built in cat that the y7 header has?Sorry for all the questions guys and thank you for the replies and feedback

I think the top sections are different dimensions aren't they? I believe the y7 is a lot shorter.

the y7 exhaust manifold has the catalytic converter built in.


the stock z6 exhaust manifold uses a 'double' downpipe, not compatable with the y7's.
ebay headers are about $50 shipped. i liked mine.
