mpg and performance is what i am after what to you guys think about a vx motor, cold air intake, header, and exhaust w/si/ex tranny yay or nay?

MPG & performance kind of contradict each other. Like going with the short ex/si tranny is going to hurt MPG (especially highway), but help your 1/4 mi. A Header on this car is not an option because the stock manifold has the cat on it. any old header for a 92-95 civic won't fit. The CAI might help out a little in HP, And I can't see it hurting MPG.

whats the z6 like with the vx transmission? is it still sorta quick?

my vx has an after market header with a stright pipe and cat back

ps i didnt paint the valve cover, and it has been replaced :lol:

So you put on a dx/si cat? Or running no cat?

how you find an intake that will fit on the tiny ass TB that teh VX has is amazing...

looks like no cat, it came with it, still gets awsome mpg, but it dosnt seem to bog down to much at higher rpm

so vx motor header, and exhaust and cai and leave the cx tranny. anything else i need?

teal you should check out around post #25 about putting a cx tranny in the HX and getting 50 mpg easy

but all and all if you want to go fast get a Z6 or a b-series

wow, had I known that a month ago... :lol:

I just ditched the CVT tranny for a manual. I've been driving it for 200+ miles so far, and my fuel gauge is almost down to 1/2 tank :woot:

I should see what tranny put in there, I think it is a dx/lx. 50 MPG would be awesome
