I was unable to find any posts on one. I'm looking for info on swappable parts with the A1 as well as an opinion or two on whether 550 for one mated to an si tranny and stage two clutch makes it worth getting for a turbo build over an LS.

ZCs are cool. But what do you mean swappable parts? Is the motor bare?

It is complete and running, from a friend at work. I just want to know for future reference. I want to be able to find replacement parts.

DOHC D series ZC? The SOHC VTEC ZC are good, but the B's will always have more potential than any D series. DOHC ZC I don't think anyone bothers with anymore unless they have a CRX or it's 1996 (which it hasn't been for a while).
B18B is the best bang-for-buck engine you could put into an OBD1 Civic, followed very closely by any OBD1 D series VTEC. The DOHC ZC is OBD0 and I can't think of any reason you'd want one. If I had to choose between that and a D15B7 for an EG, I'd take the B7.
