what's your speed at 4000 rpm

ok.. backstory is I had to pull the speedo face off to remove the airbag light.

I thought I put it back together exactly right, but my speedo is off.

At 4000 rpm I'm at 100 mph. I'm thinking it should be around 80 mph.

So if there's anyone out there who can help me. Look at your speedo at 4000rpm in 5th and let me know your speed.

Thanks guys.

Well, using that trans calc.. 195/55/15 tires @ 4000 rpm with a d-series 92-95 Si tranny, goes 87.54 mph in 5th gear

ah cool, I see the how it works now. Thanks. I was thinking closer to 80 mph. I normally cruise at 4000 rpm in 5th when the speed limit is 75. I'm pretty sure I'm not going 87+ mph though. I'd like to see what someone else's speedo says at that rpm to verify.

correction. Just went and looked, and I have 50 series tires. According to the calculator that brings me down to 84 and some change @ 4000 rpm. That is definitely closer to what I think my speed is.

Engine power has no bearing. Only those items in the calculator.

I assume he has non-stock gears or trans if he's going 200 mph lol
