So here's my problem. I have a b7 block with a z1 head( I
Assuming its a z1 head since I tried a vx head gasket and it hasn't leaked) the thing is though, I'm not 100% sure if it's a z1 or a z6 head. How can I tell the difference? And if it's a z6 head should I start using premium or keep using regular?
Sn: I bought the car like this so I didn't even know it had a different head on it until I put on a dx head gasket and it was leaking bad

There are stampings on the head, I believe between the #2 and #3 cyls on the exhaust side.

D15Z1 will be P07, D16Z6 will be P08. :thumb:

Check #'s on head to make sure you got the right one

this is awesome news of course, 2 more questions before I go, what parts do I have to buy "head specific" for my car (ex: plug wires, valve cover gasket, timing belt) and I just bought a set of vx plug wires for my car yesterday because I had dx ones for the longest time, do I need the si ones or are the vx ones good for right now?

VX plug wires sould work since the vx valve cover is the same as the si (it just has different lettering)

Yeah I noticed that they clicked when I put them in. I didn't know if there was a significant difference from the si ones :/
