Sensor help!!!!! Please

What is the sensor on the intake manifold of the d15b7 that has a vacuum line goin to evap canister and another off the bottom to the intake? Its on the right hand end of the intake. I can get pics of it if needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. i accidently broke the hard plastic piece goin to the evap canister and was hoping its not too important.

Sounds like you described the evap purge valve.

Will it mess with anything being broke? Is it important?

I bet SuspendedHatch could tell you exactly how it works... but I'm going to guess it's worth a MPG or two.
I believe as long as the sensor is plugged in, you won't get a CEL (on obd1 cars) regardless if there is a vac line hooked up to it or not.

I helps with mpg
it take the fuel vapors from the canister and put into the intake which goes into the cylinders improving the MPG very little
its important if you gotta smog your car
