basicly spent the last two day taking my friends lsi engine (d15b7) with bottom end gone out fitting a d16z6 in its starts runs vtec kick s in fine when driving but if you stop and leave idling the idle speeds creap up then it cuts out (loses spark ) wait for a while and it fires again and and will drive fine its only on idle it does it any one help ?

try and swap the entire dizzy for one from a running car

The d15 had everything for vtec in the dizzy for some reason just took everything out and put it in the d16 z6 it runs and vtecs fine just won't idle for very long

fixed it it was the ignition wire to the dizzy split slightly when the engine was reving it was pushing it tight but siting on the spot it was slacking off
