Replaced fitv Idle at 3500??? HELP PLEASE!!!

I had a surging idle so I replaced the FITV as i have seen suggested and the idle is around 3500 all the time even when warmed up, any help would be much apreciated!

you probably have a vacuum leak. when the engine is running take carb/brake cleaner and spray it all around the intake manifold and such and listen for the engine speed to change. thats a quick way to find the leak

Another thing to check is that there is enough slack in the throttle cable for the throttle body to close all the way. If its just a tiny bit too tight after putting everything back together, it will keep the tb open enough to make the engine idle high.

Is the FITV right adjusted? The internal screw has to be all the way in.

thanks guys it was the adjustment of the screw itself, finally after owning the car for nearly 6 months it idles right.
