So, I know that I need a Y8 cam gear and I need to re-adjust the ignition timing when I install it.

other than that, the process should go like this?

1) Set B7 crank and cam to TDC
2) Replace B7 Cam with A6 cam+ Y8 Gear
3) bolt everything back together
4) Adjust Ignition timing by rotating dizzy

Is that all? Does the cam gear only go on one way? I'm afraid of messing up my timing.
Someone help me out here

Cam gear should be keyed. Will only go on one way. Make sure you line up the timing marks on the cam gear before you reinstall the rocker arm assembely. Its a pain to turn with everything bolted back up.

If i remember correctly the cam will be 1/2 a tooth off and you will have to adjust that not the dizzy.

use the y8 cam gear. it will correct the timing.

if you need one, pm me.

i bought a brand new one from the dealership but i ended up buying an adj cam gear for the low so i wont be using the y8 cam gear
