I have a 92 Civic DX with a JDM D15B which was news to me and the seller as we both thought it was a USDM motor until I checked the code. Anyways there is a block off plate on the back of the head and it looks like that is where the vtec solenoid goes? If it is and I wanted to put vtec in it would I just have to wire one into the harness and get a p28 (has a p06) ECU?Image

that is not a VTEC engine.

VTEC engines have the spark plugs in the front and nonVTECs have the spark plugs in the back

Yep, your easiest route to vtec would be a mini-me swap. Worth it if you can get the parts cheap and are only looking for a little more power/fun.
