HEY, i just picked up a 1993 cx for dirt cheep 350$ its going to be my winter beater little rust believe it or not but man is it slow compared to my other hondas !! anywase

i know it oonly has 8 valves i wanted to know if i can put on a D16A6 head {PM3} will it be just a straight swap ?? will it open up some hp's ???

As Far as I know, All SOHC D-Block Heads will bolt onto all D-Blocks.

The D16a6 head will bolt onto your D15b8 block. It should be a Straight Swap. Just unbolt the old Head, Bolt the new one down, And you will be ready to go.

If you want even more Power, A Vtec Head will also bolt on with slight adoptions, then you would also Gain Vtec.

yeah i now thats what im doing with my vx a d16a6 block and d16z6 head im building the motor rightnow with new parts,i have a forum of the mini-me swap somewere, so its better to have the extra 8 valves right ?

You will have better Performance With a 16 Valve Head over an 8 Valve Head.

so i will free up a few ponies ?? i dont need it 2 be supa fast or make a bog difference because its just a beater car but hey if u say it wil help out and i have a A6 head lying around then why not right thanks

just check to see that the valves on the a6 head will clear the cx pistons. I'm not sure if the cx pistons have notches for the 8v or the 16v heads.
