ok so here is the issue with my 94 civic EX w/ a d16z6.

the last few nights i been driving i notice that my car all of a sudden just starts to lose power... as in my lights will dim and the car will get slower and slower which means no acceleration no matter the gear.

so luckily every place i have been going to has had a battery charger cuz it seems that the altinator is not doing its job as in recharging the battery while the car is in use.

so today i removed my altinator and took it to get tested to see if it was working and some how it passed the test.

so idk what it could be. what else could cause my car to run off only the battery with the altinator "doing its job"? any help or advice would be appreciated.

If you believe it is the alt. causing the problems. Start the car and disconnect the battery while it is running. If the alt. is working properly, it will continue to run, if not, it will die.

see if the alternator fuse in the dash board fuse box is blown (I think it is a 7.5A fuse)

My 94 Civic EX w/ D16z6 5speed did that twice on a trip, then it compelety died the third time it did it. I had to pull over to the side of the road. After Honda gave me on clear reason as to why, I put in a New Main Fuel Relay and that fixed everything.
