i went into my local honda dealership to buy a d16y8 cam gear and i said could you please order me a cam gear for a d16y8 honda engine and the guy says whats the chasis number of your car and i said that my car had orginally a d15b7 but its changed now hence why i need the d16y8 cam gear, and he told me he cant order it because he dosent know the chasis number and i was like dude just type in d16y8 and look for cam gear and order it, then he says why are you going to that hassle anyways with a engine thats nearly 10 years old, i was near kicking his ass but i stayed nice and said can you not even check a catalogue and get the part number and do it and he says thats not how we work it.i find it strange, so can anyone give me the chasis number /code /part number(if the part number is universal around the world) i would appreicate it alot as i really need this asap, by the way this is the same dude that told my girlfriend on the phone when she rang for me to ask if they would order me a throttle cable for a ef dual carb import.he said why the hell does anyone have a 17 year old honda? we only stock parts for 5 years and under. he is a tool of the 1st degree but i dont have a choice right now...any help would be great. oem d16y8 cam gear. thanks :thumb:

i can supply a brand new OEM Honda cam pulley for a JDM VTi 1.5 vtec... 99% sure that it would be the same as the 1.6 esi engine?

anyway, the part number for that one is: 14210-PM3-000

i can sell that one to you for £21.00 plus shipping and VAT

I order all my parts from majestic honda or other online dealers. I'm not sure if that helps being that you're outside of the US.

Just tell him you have a 96 Honda Civic VTEC. I'm not sure what you guys got out there but for instance I would say that I have a 1996 (or any year up to 2000) Honda Civic EX.

The chassis code begins with EK and the head code is P2J.

Of course there's ebay and the junkyard. I can't see paying the dealers price for something like that.

DannyCraQ that is the sickest avatar I have ever seen.
