I believe you're better off sticking with your stock TB instead of shelling out cash for one the same size from a different engine.

Last I can recall they are all the same size.

The Y8 Intake mani is Wayyyy Bigger then the Z6 or other Intake Manifolds.

Topic on b7 vs z6 Intake Manifolds - The Intake on the Manifolds on the b7 and z6 manifold are the same size, the Runners to the Engine however are bigger on the Z6.

i just finished my build and do a mini-swap with a z6 and use a thin headhasket, u will bump up the compression also use stock IM and throttel body inless u have cash to do skunk or elder , dont go with cheep ebay or other cars as u can even loose HP off un-even balance of air)fuel

also, will ur at it get new rings u can get some for like 30$ will help a lot and wont burn oil anymore !!

and if u want to get crazy like i did then skunk cams and valves and p-polish head and IM and u will be set to go, GOOD LUCK !!

wtf engrish? The y8 manifold has better results with aftermarket mods than a z6 manifold but I don't believe it is worth the trouble unless you dont have a z6 manifold or get it really cheap.

DONT get a thinner headgasket. If you plan to boost, a stock oem headgasket + arp headstuds will be fine. If you want a bigger TB a stock LS will work decently with the y8 manifold and should bolt right in.

skunk2 cam + boost is not exactly good with power. Crower Stage 2 turbo cam + any upgraded valvetrain is good for boost.

I say hold out on the bigger parts, just get the intake header, and exhaust.

ohh hes bosting, i thought NA just swaping in a d16z6, also if on tight budget then stick with the IM u got if not then yes go with the y but its not like the y will add10+ HP then z6 also, looks y kind of stupid, my opinion

yeah thats my main idea for now and once i get more research done then do the Y8 mani swap and other stuff after.
