i heard some where that cam gears for SOHC-V arnt worth it and you should go straight to a cam, i have a supercharged d16y8 and am looking for a little more power , but i dont wanna lose relaiability with a cam

you can always get a cam gear and adjust it to try and get more power. You wont really get much, but with a supercharger the gains could be better. You can get a stage one cam and not really loose realiability. Most VTEC cams i would think still use the stock profiles for the off vtec use.

thanks can anyone point me in the right direction as of cam timing , retard or advance anyone else with a SC around here?

timing and cam timing are all based on YOUR motor. You just have to dyno tune it to find out whats best.
