Which d series crank is capable of 300hp? Also, what head would you guys prefer to rebuild for boost that seems to handle well?

dont know what crank but im sure a Z6 head would be good for boost.
But I know some people over at d-series.org would say to go out and buy a dohc ZC they have just the right compression ratio that loves boost.

all d-series cranks will handle 300 hp.
the weak points are the connecting rods and piston ringlands
d16 forged rods are common, d15 forged rods are hard to find, $$$.
d16z6 or d16a6 are the best to build for 250 + hp
d15b jdm vtec also good but uses d16 rod bearings and d15 main bearings
d16y7 or d16y8 also good but have oil pump and crank oiling issues.
turbo d's make lots of hp with or without vtec heads.

I have heard that vtec heads have conflict with boost sometimes? I know that doesn't apply to everybody but i have heard some.

its not the heads, its the cams. to much over lap maybe. BUt i have seen some nice power made with vtec sohc motors and stage 2 cams. not even turbo cams.
