Major oil leak

Okay so after a couple problems i got my car running today, but only for about 2 seconds as it emtpied the contents of the sump onto the ground. Emptied 4 litres of oil almost instantly :(

Sump plugs 100% in and tight, same with the oil filter. Only places i can see oil are on the top of the manifold and around the top of the sump

Im going to replace the sump gasket but is there anything else i should look out for? Not had a chance to get under the car yet so will update this if i can narrow down where its coming from

Check your oil filter. If it backed off it will empty your sump in a heart beat.

Turned out the problem was a dody sandwich plate someone fitted, i wasnt using it anyway so took it off and now its not leaking, well, not oil anyway

Petrol now, leaking from between the injectors and the fuel rail. I replaced most of the seals last week but ordered more today, fingers crossed that will stop it...

Yep, sounds like you need the injector o rings.

I replaced the O-rings at the top of the injector and the large ones between the injector and inlet manifold last week - was still leaking though :(

Replaced the ones that get squished by the fuel rail when you torque it down and also used some oil to help seal the o-rings and its stopped the leak now :thumb:
