i dont really know if this considered a mini me...i heard that you have to tap into the block for oil for the vtec..i see that the vtec has been wired but i dont see any tap for oil..can i even do anything with this motor or should i just scrap it and get a y8?..i do want to go turbo soon..190 whp is all i really want..no more than 220 whp...

no need to tap into the block. Just need to remove the oil jet between cyls 2 & 3 on the surface of the block/head mounting surface. Since it is already assembled, I would assume the person did that step. If they didn't, you'll know because you won't build enough oil pressure to activate vtec.

ooh ok well i wouldnt be able to tell if i hit vtec..lol i heard that you cant really feel or hear vtec in single cams..

you cant really feel or hear it at all with the stock cam. if you want to know if you are actually engaging VTEC while driving you might want to install a light for when it comes on.

installing a short ram intake will make it more able to be heard.

thats what i just got in the mail..im excited..the one that was on it was just a filter
